IMAGINE THE IMPACT

How does a 5K Race make a huge impact on the global movement to end breast cancer forever?  Through the fundraising efforts of every participant.

You don’t need to be a fundraising expert to be successful at it – you just need the desire to stand up to breast cancer and make a difference.  Thanks to people like you, in 2011-2012 the Komen Central New Mexico Affiliate was able to fund $220,000 for education, screening and treatment services in Bernalillo, Los Alamos, Sandoval, Santa Fe, Torrance and Valencia counties.  This year we’re aiming even higher!  If every Race participant raised an average of $100 over the registration fee, the Komen Central New Mexico Affiliate would raise an additional $500,000. Together, we can save lives!

Fundraising is easy with online fundraising tools! When you registeredfor the Race you automatically received your own fundraising website which can be personalized. Start now by logging in, and encouraging everyone you know to visit your site, see what you are doing in the fight against breast cancer and make a donation on your behalf. Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Affiliate stays right here in the local community! The remaining income goes to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund research.

$100 CAN SAVE A LIFE

 
It’s simple, if you ask 10 people to donate at least $10 each, you will raise $100. Your $100 could pay for one under-insured or un-insured women's mammogram in our community.  If every Race participant joined the Power of 10, imagine the number of lives we could save!

Individual Fundraising Awards 

To make Fundraising more fun, awards will be given to the top THREE individual fundraisers.  Awards will be announced and presented after November 7, 2011.

• The top Fundraiser will receive two round trip tickets within the contiguous US courtesy of American Airlines.    
• The second place winner will recieve one round trip ticketwithin the contiguous US courtesy of American Airlines.
• The third place winner will receive a $100 gift certifcate for dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel's (fomerly the Hilton Albuquerque) Stone Street Grill and a hot air Balloon ride for two courtesy of Rainbow Ryders, Inc.
