Komen Central New Mexico cherishes and honors our Survivors. These women and men are an inspiration and light the way in our efforts to eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease. It is our promise to celebrate and honor, as well as, provide encouragement and hope to the women and men living with breast cancer – from the newly diagnosed to long-term Survivors, their families and friends.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure has been in the forefront of the breast cancer movement for 30 years. The organization has changed how the world deals with and talks about this devastating disease. One of Komen’s many accomplishments has been helping to transform millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors.

What do you do when a friend, a family member or a colleague is diagnosed with breast cancer?
What do you say? How do you act? How can you help?
There are as many ways of being a co-survivor as there are people. Thoughtful gestures big and small mean a great deal to survivors, whether they've just been diagnosed or completed treatment years ago.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure has created a new program for co-survivors that offers advice on how to support a person with breast cancer and provides information on what to expect before, during and after treatment.
